As an Armed Security Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity. An armed guard card or license is required.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and complete required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the business, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials in accordance with site-specific procedures; assist with visitor direction and access control.
  • Carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policy, and site-specific procedures.
