As an Armed Security Officer supporting a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control measures, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and reporting requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, ATM locations, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas; verify authorized access; and document visitor, contractor, and incident activity in accordance with site policies.
  • Maintain a professional armed presence while interacting courteously with employees, customers, vendors, and visitors, and promptly communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
