Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity at the residential community, verify authorized access, and maintain required visitor, vendor, and delivery records.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site-specific procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of community entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Communicate professionally with residents and site management, document incidents and observations accurately, and complete required reports.
