Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a residential location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access activity with professionalism. Requirements

  • An armed guard card and unarmed guard card is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of corrections, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or local law enforcement when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the residential community, including common areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify access permissions when required, and communicate with residents, visitors, and/or vendors regarding community rules, directions, and security-related concerns.
  • Support residential property operations by observing for maintenance issues, policy violations, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior, and relaying information through appropriate reporting channels.
