As an Armed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. You will support access control and respond professionally to site needs while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring culture, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Possess at least two years of corrections, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at an aerospace and defense-related location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, offices, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
  • Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding daily activities, policy concerns, and security-related incidents.
