As a Security Officer Armed Clearance Required Full Time Perimeter Security in Arlington, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity.

Requirements

Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
Perform armed patrols of facilities, aircraft-related areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, conducting regular and random inspections to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, control entry and exit of authorized personnel and vehicles, and maintain awareness of restricted areas and controlled assets.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; coordinate with site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
Prepare accurate reports, maintain required documentation, and handle assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, and site requirements.
