About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Aero/Defense Driver in Canoga Park, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned locations within the aerospace and defense sector, helping to deter security-related incidents and promoting a secure environment. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities. You will remain visible throughout your shift, deliver outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly while upholding our values of reliability, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A valid firearms permit is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, applying training and sound judgment.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verifying credentials and assisting with access control as required by site protocols.
  • Document incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports, maintaining clear communication with Allied Universal management and client representatives.
  • Assist with emergency preparedness drills and participate in response efforts for incidents that may occur at the location.
  • Remain alert to unusual activities or potential threats, and promptly report any concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors, providing assistance and information as needed while upholding Allied Universal standards.
