About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Access Operations in Jackson, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

Have at least one year of security-related experience.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
A valid firearms permit is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
Monitor access points, verify identification and credentials, and permit entry to authorized employees, visitors, and/or vendors.
Maintain visitor logs, issue temporary access credentials, and provide directions and assistance to individuals entering the location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting and reporting security-related concerns according to established procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas and the perimeter to help identify unauthorized access, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations.
