About The Position

Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, perform routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail environment.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with location management and/or public emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, entrance and exit areas, parking lot, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor high-traffic areas, observe customer and employee activity for unusual behavior, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Support loss prevention awareness by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with access control for restricted areas, and following post orders related to opening, closing, and/or after-hours activity.
