Requirements

  • Able to ride a bike.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at public buildings, offices, and surrounding grounds.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to supervisors and/or local authorities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned locations, including lobbies, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter areas, to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and document security-related incidents, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Support a professional environment through visible presence, clear communication, and assistance to employees, visitors, and members of the public.
