As a Security Officer Alarm Signal Dispatcher in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Dispatch Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor alarm and access control activity, coordinate responses to security-related incidents, and maintain clear communication with onsite teams, visitors, and emergency personnel. You will help maintain an orderly environment through attentive dispatch operations and exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or client representatives while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Receive, prioritize, and dispatch calls for service, alarms, access-related concerns, and other security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
  • Monitor communication systems, cameras, alarms, and access-control activity, escalating unusual conditions or critical situations according to site procedures.
  • Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, activity records, and shift communications for the commercial real estate location.
  • Coordinate with on-site personnel and emergency responders during incidents, remaining calm and using sound problem-solving skills.
