Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control/badge experience (B201): Candidates must demonstrate prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and deactivating access badges.
  • Alarm panel experience (B202): Candidates should have experience working with alarm panel systems, including installation, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Knowledge of various alarm systems and protocols is essential.
  • Customer service experience (B219): Candidates must possess strong customer service skills, with a proven track record of effectively addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues. Experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
  • Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, restricted areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
  • Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding access issues, unusual activity, and security-related incidents.
