As a Security Officer Alarm Response Patrol in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a construction location, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and badge procedures. You will respond to alarms, report observations, and deliver professional customer service in a dynamic environment with limited on-site facilities. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, contractors, visitors, and/or personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout active construction areas, access points, staging areas, parking locations, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying authorization, directing visitors and delivery personnel, and maintaining required entry and activity records.
  • Observe and report hazards, damaged barriers, unsecured materials, and other unusual conditions in accordance with site-specific procedures.
