As a Security Officer Alarm Response Patrol in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or customer concerns in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and report activity according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, assist with crowd observation during busy periods, and communicate with site contacts regarding security-related matters.
  • Support daily operations by documenting incidents, completing assigned reports, and following Allied Universal standards and post instructions.
