As a Security Officer Alarm Panel Operator in Sanford, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a residential location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying visitor access, responding to access control and alarm-related activity, and conducting routine patrols. Your visible presence and exceptional customer service will help deter incidents while supporting residents and guests. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and issue or collect access credentials in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, resident concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with residents, guests, property staff, and emergency responders while supporting a welcoming residential environment.
