About The Position

As a Security Officer Alarm Panel Coordinator in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, operate alarm panels and access control systems, and provide outstanding customer service. Use your computer or tablet skills to document activities and communicate professionally while contributing through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and innovation.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Monitor access points, visitor entry, and badge-related processes in accordance with site policies, helping to maintain orderly movement throughout the facility.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter, reporting unusual conditions or maintenance concerns.
  • Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
