As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Alarm Monitoring in Saint Louis, MO, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. Requirements

  • Possess 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security license preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, ATM areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity within assigned areas, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
  • Prepare accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
