About The Position

As a Security Officer Emergency Communications in Cumberland, RI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Dispatcher at a healthcare location, you will coordinate security-related communications, monitor alarms and incoming calls, and dispatch officers to support timely responses. You will use technology to document activity, maintain clear communication with staff and visitors, and help create a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, healthcare location policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Monitor incoming calls, alarms, and communications; dispatch security-related personnel and coordinate responses to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Maintain clear and accurate dispatch logs, incident records, and communication reports in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Monitor access control, surveillance, and other security-related systems; report unusual activity, equipment concerns, and incidents to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support security-related operations by communicating with site leadership, emergency responders, and Allied Universal supervision as needed.
