About The Position

As a Security Officer - Airport Screening Checkpoint, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will help support a welcoming, orderly environment while working as part of a team that reflects Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven culture.

Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an airport-related location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned terminal areas, public spaces, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe pedestrian and vehicle activity, reporting suspicious conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate activity reports and communicate professionally with visitors, tenants, airline personnel, contractors, and emergency responders.
