As a Airport Security Professional in Lihue, HI, you will safeguard the airport, staff, and it's facilities. Along with driving, patrolling, checking, and securing doors. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal serving a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all visitors and staff. Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
  • 21+ years of age
  • Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
  • Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess 1 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 20 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities in a public transportation setting.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or public agency representatives as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public access areas, exterior walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, unattended property, and/or policy violations in accordance with post orders.
  • Support daily operations at a government location by assisting with wayfinding, providing information to the public, and communicating clearly with supervisors, site personnel, and/or first responders during routine and emergency events.
