About The Position

As a Security Officer Airport Access Control in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and support access activity with strong customer service and communication. Requirements

• A minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, parking locations, roadways, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor access points, observe arriving and departing activity, and help to verify that only authorized individuals enter restricted or controlled areas.
• Communicate with site contacts, public agency personnel, and/or first responders regarding security-related concerns, unusual conditions, and customer service needs.
