About The Position

As a Security Officer - Afternoon Residential Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As a Security Professional, you will provide a visible presence throughout a residential community, conducting routine patrols and operating a vehicle as part of this driving post. You will help to deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service to residents and visitors. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout residential community areas, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and vehicle activity in accordance with community policies; document and report policy violations, incidents, and suspicious activity.
  • Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
