As a Security Officer Admittance Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support daily security-related operations. This is a driving post. You will remain visible to help deter incidents, deliver outstanding customer service, and communicate with professionalism. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Applicants must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security-related supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and documenting visitor, contractor, and delivery activity for a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Help to deter unauthorized entry by screening personnel and vehicles, controlling entry and exit activity, and reporting unusual conditions or policy concerns.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around access control areas, operational spaces, and perimeter locations, noting security-related issues and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Support emergency response activities by following post orders, directing traffic flow during changing site conditions, and maintaining accurate logs, reports, and other required records.
