Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and communications location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access through consistent application of post orders.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while documenting security-related activities and reporting unusual conditions.
• Screen visitors, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with location procedures, maintain accurate access records, and communicate clearly with staff and guests.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the lobby, access points, business areas, and perimeter, as required by the location and working conditions.
