As a Security Officer Access Verification in Brookwood, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a secure environment through visible presence and routine site observation. In this role, you will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering strong customer service, clear communication, and teamwork with integrity in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge and credential checks, and other security-related policies at the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points for personnel, visitors, vehicles, and deliveries, helping to deter unauthorized access to restricted and operational areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency services as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate visitor logs, access records, and incident documentation while following post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, production-related areas, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
