This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position is a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader. Located in Clyde, OH, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking-up additional shifts. Candidates will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift (Fixed-Shift Commitment or “Anchor Shifts”) that serves as a reliable base schedule, requiring a six (6) month commitment. In addition to the fixed shift, employees may pick-up extra shifts through a scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites, allowing for part-time hours one week and full-time the next. This role is ideal for those seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge verification, and other security-related policies at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, help to deter unauthorized access, and document visitor, delivery, and/or contractor activity in accordance with site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Support daily operations by maintaining accurate access logs, checking credentials, and following post orders related to restricted areas, key control, and/or after-hours access.
