That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader. As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access in Savannah, GA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. This role involves a fixed-shift commitment (“Anchor Shifts”) at a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. You can work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
A TSA issued TWIC is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at a chemical and petrochemical location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, operational areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unauthorized activity, damaged barriers, spills, and other conditions that may require attention.
Monitor entry and exit points, check credentials and/or visitor information as directed, and document daily activities, incidents, and security-related concerns in required logs and reports.
Support emergency response activities by assisting with site instructions, helping to control access during events, and communicating clearly with personnel and/or first responders when needed.
