About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Systems in WEST COLUMBIA, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and contractors at an automotive facility by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and control access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, vehicle storage locations, gates, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Document incidents, access-control activities, and unusual conditions in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting procedures.
