As a Security Officer Access Systems in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will manage visitor and employee access, monitor entry points, and help maintain a welcoming, secure environment. You will use computer-based systems, communicate professionally with diverse individuals, and provide visible support that helps deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization credentials, manage visitor access records, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of building entrances, lobbies, restricted areas, parking locations, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized access.
  • Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports, communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management, and support a professional, service-oriented environment.
