About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Specialist in Moncks Corner, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access activity, assist visitors and staff with professionalism, and bring strong communication, teamwork, and integrity to every shift in a caring, reliable, and innovative environment.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, operational concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting relevant details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, trailer yards, loading and unloading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, and/or drivers, verify access permissions when required, and report any access concerns, damaged gates, or unsecured areas.
• Observe facility operations and surrounding conditions for policy violations, equipment issues, and/or potential hazards, and communicate findings according to site procedures.
