Join Allied Universal as a Front Desk Officer at a dynamic utilities location, where you will greet visitors, manage access control and badges, monitor activity at the entrance, and deliver exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a front desk post at a utilities location.
  • Monitor visitor access at the front desk, verify identification and/or credentials, and help to control entry in line with site protocols.
  • Answer phones, greet employees, contractors, and visitors, and provide clear directions and information while maintaining professional front desk operations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Complete required logs, visitor records, and incident documentation, and communicate unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy issues observed at the front desk.
