About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Services in Cordova, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. At a busy logistics and distribution location, you will manage access control, verify credentials, monitor entry points, and support smooth site operations through strong communication and customer service. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while working as part of an agile, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access control points by verifying credentials, processing visitor and contractor entry, and documenting arrivals, departures, and/or deliveries according to site protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by observing entry and exit activity, monitoring vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and reporting unusual behavior, damaged barriers, and/or policy concerns.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including the business area, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.
