About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Screening in Rural Hall, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following site-specific access control procedures, screening visitors, verifying credentials, and documenting entry and exit activity at the location.
  • Monitor entrances, gates, badge activity, and restricted areas to help support authorized access and report unusual or unauthorized activity to site contacts and/or emergency responders.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while carrying out security-related response procedures and escalation protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, perimeter, and designated operational areas, noting potential hazards, equipment issues, and/or policy concerns for follow-up.
  • Support truck, vendor, employee, and contractor processing by checking identification, maintaining accurate logs, and communicating clearly with site personnel regarding access requests and/or delivery activity.
