Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience is required.
  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, checking credentials, and documenting entry and exit activity at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor access points, gates, and restricted areas to help support authorized entry, verify deliveries and/or visitor information, and report unusual activity according to Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, operational areas, and the perimeter to help identify potential hazards, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues.
  • Prepare accurate logs and reports related to access activity, incidents, and daily operations, and follow post orders for emergency response and other security-related responsibilities.
