About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Screening in Laredo, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, support site access procedures, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. Requirements

• Speak, read, and write fluent Spanish.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, credential checks, and other security-related policies and/or emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points for the location, verify authorized access for personnel and approved visitors, and document arrivals, departures, and access-related activity.
• Respond to incidents, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including the business area, perimeter, gates, and loading and unloading areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Support security-related operations by observing vehicle traffic patterns, reporting unusual conditions, and following post orders related to deliveries, trailers, and restricted areas.
