About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Screening in Cedar Fort, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by following site-specific access control procedures, screening employees, visitors, and/or vendors, and directing individuals to the appropriate entry points within the location.
• Monitor doors, gates, badge readers, and/or vehicle access points to help support authorized entry, document visitor activity, and report unusual or unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for facility concerns, policy violations, and/or conditions that could impact operations.
• Support security-related procedures for deliveries, shipments, and/or contractor access in a food and beverage environment, maintaining accurate logs and reporting issues according to site protocols.
