Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, screen people and property, support access activity, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Screen individuals, packages, and/or personal belongings entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and established screening guidelines.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or unauthorized access attempts to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, dock areas, and perimeter to help identify security-related concerns, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.
