Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and monitoring entry and exit activity at a government location.
  • Screen visitors, contractors, and deliveries, issue temporary access credentials as directed, and maintain accurate visitor and access logs.
  • Respond to incidents, access irregularities, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around designated entrances, lobbies, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support security-related operations.
  • Monitor doors, gates, cameras, and alarm activity related to controlled access areas, and report maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or unusual activity according to site procedures.
