Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy retail distribution location, where you will help manage entry and exit activity, monitor assigned areas, and support a smooth flow of people and vehicles. In this role, you will remain visible, communicate clearly, and provide customer-focused service while helping to deter security-related incidents through teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
  • Monitor access control points and verify badges, visitor credentials, and/or delivery documentation to help support authorized entry and exit for the location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, entrance points, loading areas, and perimeter, noting unusual activity and/or conditions.
  • Maintain logs of visitor, vendor, and vehicle activity, and communicate with site contacts regarding arrivals, departures, and other access-related concerns.
