About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Registration Driver in Axis, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Security Professional at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor visitor activity, and support a secure environment for employees and guests. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and help address security-related concerns while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, teamwork-driven, and integrity-focused values. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
  • Monitor and control access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor badges as directed, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
  • Screen personnel, vehicles, packages, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures, escalating discrepancies or unauthorized access attempts to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established reporting and notification protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, business facilities, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and support security-related operations.
