As an Access Control Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide professional communication to employees and visitors. You will use computer or tablet systems, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Operate access control points by verifying credentials, authorizations, and visitor documentation in accordance with established site requirements.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, maintain required access logs, and report access discrepancies or suspicious activity to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, restricted areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
