As a Security Officer Access Point Monitoring in Irwindale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a retail location, you will help create a welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, and responding to security-related concerns. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, help deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, contractors, and/or retail personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization and credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document events according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, common areas, parking facilities, and the property perimeter to identify and report security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site contacts, guests, and public agencies while supporting a welcoming environment at the location.
