About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Point Coordinator in Deer Park, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor access points, verify badges and credentials, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor access control points by verifying credentials, processing visitor entry and exit, maintaining required logs, and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders and location protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, controlled areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential concerns.
  • Communicate with employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors regarding entry requirements, restricted areas, and site rules while supporting orderly movement throughout the location.
