About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Coordinator in West Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access control points for employees, visitors, vendors, and/or delivery drivers, verifying credentials, screening arrivals, and documenting entry and exit activity.
• Respond to incidents, access issues, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site protocols.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by monitoring gates, doors, trailers, and/or restricted areas, and reporting unusual activity or policy violations.
• Support site operations by communicating with site contacts regarding visitor processing, shipment-related traffic flow, and/or access requests while maintaining accurate records and logs.
