About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Coordinator in Westlake Village, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal at a residential location where you will monitor entry points, manage access control, and conduct routine patrols to help support a secure, welcoming environment. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points for the residential location, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access through consistent security-related screening and documentation.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues to property management and/or public emergency services when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and communication regarding visitors, contractors, deliveries, and other security-related activity at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter, noting unusual activity and reporting maintenance, access, and/or security-related concerns.
