About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control Coordinator in Sparrows Point, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, helping to monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. In this role, you will remain visible, communicate clearly, and provide outstanding customer service while bringing a reliable, agile, innovative approach and acting with integrity through teamwork.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial location.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and permissions, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site protocols.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to the appropriate personnel when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, operational areas, and the perimeter to help support security-related awareness and report unusual activity.
Communicate with site contacts, drivers, and team members regarding access requests, restricted areas, and/or security-related concerns while maintaining detailed daily activity logs.
