Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a residential location, where you will monitor entry points, verify access, and support residents and guests with professionalism and care. In this role, you will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, conduct routine patrols, and deliver strong communication and customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors by following access control procedures, community policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification, authorize visitor and vendor access, and document arrivals, departures, and/or unusual activity in accordance with site-specific protocols.
- Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with property management, first responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential location and perimeter, observing for suspicious activity, property concerns, and/or security-related issues.
- Assist with maintaining order at the location by helping to deter unauthorized access, supporting package, delivery, and guest entry procedures, and reporting maintenance or life-threatening concerns through proper channels.
