Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.
  • CPR Certification is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and manage access control procedures while helping to support authorized access throughout the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, common areas, and perimeter locations, noting unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns.
