As a Security Officer Access Operations Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide outstanding customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors at a chemical and petrochemical facility while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor or contractor passes as assigned, and document entries, exits, and access-related activity in accordance with site policies.
  • Control entry of vehicles, deliveries, materials, and personnel to restricted or controlled areas, escalating discrepancies or unauthorized access attempts according to established procedures.
  • Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, gates, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
