About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Monitor in Hattiesburg, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic food and beverage location as an Access Control Officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support site personnel and visitors with professional communication and customer service. In this role, you will help maintain an orderly environment, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and bring our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every interaction.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and visitor credentials, and document access activity to help support security-related operations and authorized entry procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including exterior areas and perimeter points, to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
  • Support screening and checkpoint activities for people, vehicles, and deliveries, while following post orders, reporting procedures, and security-related protocols.
